Paper Acceptance

The review and acceptance process for DIEM submissions.

Papers are invited on the topics outlined on the Conference Topics page and others falling within the scope of the Conference. Abstracts of no more than 15 lines should be submitted by the deadline shown on the Important Dates page.

Abstracts should clearly state the purpose, results and conclusions of the work to be described in the final paper. All abstracts and final papers are blind reviewed by at least two reviewers; acceptance is not guaranteed. Confirmation of acceptance, together with an invitation to prepare and present the full paper at the Conference, is sent by the notification date shown on the Important Dates page. Full papers should not exceed 5,000 words / 16 pages in length.

Final acceptance is based on the full-length paper, which, if accepted for publication, must be presented at the Conference. At least one author of each accepted paper must register and present the paper at the Conference to ensure that it is included in the DIEM Journal. The official language of the Conference is English.

Authors of accepted abstracts are asked to prepare final papers for presentation at the Conference. Each presentation is typically allowed to take 10–20 minutes, depending on the number of accepted papers per session. To assist authors with formatting, Instructions for Authors and paper templates are made available for download below.

Failure to comply with formatting instructions may result in a paper being returned, causing a delay in publication. If you have any queries about formatting, please contact the Organising Committee at info@diem-dubrovnik.com.
